Practice Areas

With over forty years of experience as an entertainment lawyer, Alexander Murphy Jr. now maintains his principal office in West Chester, Pennsylvania (along with other name individuals in the entertainment industry, located in the scenic Chester County horse-country area). He is admitted to practice in New York and Pennsylvania and also maintains an affiliate office with fellow entertainment attorney Peter M. Thall, Esq.

Mr. Murphy's practice has included entertainment litigation, but is now exclusively entertainment business affairs transactions and related matters, including intellectual property. His varied practice encompasses representing major and independent entertainment companies, projects, productions (narrative and documentary), and financiers from development and financing through production, distribution, and other forms of exploitation along with individual producers, performers, writers, authors, life story subjects, musicians and other talent throughout the U.S. and internationally, in the motion picture, television, book publishing, theatrical, and music industries.

For those areas of law in which Mr. Murphy does not practice, and for litigation matters, Mr. Murphy maintains a referral network for his clients with other attorneys to further assist them with any other legal needs.
